Soooo....

I've been wanting to post something for a while now. However, I have lacked in the creative portion of my brain and I don't have any new pictures to post. So in an attempt to save myself from blogger suicide, I have decided to post the story of how Trever and I met. I got this idea from a tag I saw a while back. Maybe I'll through in a few other fun stories too.
Trever and I were both seniors in high school. Only Trever was attending Spanish Fork High and I was attending Springville High (rival schools). At that time the school district allowed seniors to go to a tech college and still get high school credit. We chose to take a Medical Assisting class that was held at Mountainland Applied Technology Center (near UVU).

Trever and I at Springville High's 'Last Chance' dance.

I wasn't really interested in Trever at first. He was dating another girl in our class and I was sort of 'waiting for a missionary' (a big commitment for a 17 year old). On the first day of class I do remember thinking to myself that if I dated anyone in that class that it would be him. I don't know why 17 year old girls think that way, but I did.
Several months went by and I got to know him better during class assignments (practicing taking vitals, drawing blood....etc). It turned out that he was working at Wendy's where one of my best friends was working. My friend told me that he would talk about how pretty I was and how he wanted to ask me out. I was working at a restaurant. After some coaxing by my friend he finally asked me out. He had broken off his other relationships earlier, and I guess I was desperate to go out on a date, tired of waiting, just excited to go out with someone new or all of the above.

Me drawing Trever's blood. (sorry to those who get quezzy) On our first date we went tunnel singing at BYU. He was pretty sligh, he even held my hand that night but I didn't pull away either. Our next date was watching conference (sat. afternoon) at my parents house. I had to work that night so I sent him home, he didn't want to go. Thinking fast I told him he could come visit me after he went to preisthood meeting. I thought I was being a good girlfriend by encouraging him to go. He agreed and I went to work. I don't know if he was just excited to see me again or if he wanted to make it there before the other brethren stormed in for their after preisthood session treat/meal. He showed up to see me at a quarter to 8. Yeah, he didn't go. He ended up staying there waiting till I got off (11 pm ish). The next day I went over to his parents for sunday dinner and to watch conference. My parents made me wear a dress since it was the sabbath. Argh... Yes they gave me hard time about it. I guess its something to laugh at now.

Trever and I waiting outside the Salt Lake Temple,

while my brother and sister-in-law were getting sealed.

A couple weeks later he took me to my senior Prom (sorry I can't find the picture, probably in storage). Then one night after he was visiting me at work, he got pulled over for not making a complete stop. Turned out that the doctor that checked him out after his last seizure suspended his license...... and didn't tell him. So..... for the last couple months of school I picked Trever up and drove him home. Needless to say, we got to know each other even better. I guess maybe thats when I fell head over heals for him.

Trever and I in his parents basement.

The next April we got engaged then married in August.

We were sealed in the Provo Temple the next year.

Trever and I the day we were sealed, August 10, 2002.
