Best Friends
Last night Reagan and I were getting ready to snuggle down for the night. Reagan reached over to me and gave me a hug and said, "mom we best friends". I was a bit surprised to hear her use the term best friends. I didn't think she even knew the meaning of the words. I responded, "You're Right, we are best friends." I tried to explain to her that being a family was even better than being best friends. I don't think she quite understood what I meant. She just said, "yeah, we best friends", and then she drifted off to sleep. She never ceases to amaze me with all the many things she is learning and how fast she is learning them. I can only hope that I will always be her best friend.
